Just a quick update....last week went by quickly....it was a busy week for me! Meeting in NJ went well, radiation started Thursday and heading into another busy week! First...to my cousin Cathy thanks for the card...I sat down last night to open all the weeks mail since I was gone for a few days...and it was just what I needed! Update to all, my cousin Cathy has been sending me cards since the beginning of this journey...this week the card was so cute:..."Don't be discouraged! BE FIRM! BE STRONG! BE A ROCK!!!!...I'm certainly going to adhere to this advise!!!!
So radiation basically uneventful....appointment at 1:00PM each day, I leave work around 12:45 or so and I'm back before 1:30....so my lunch for the next month or so is radiation!!! Very quick....3 different doses...one to shoulder area, then into the armpit area and then last from behind! All pretty quick only a min or so for each, machine moves along and its over before you know it! I do not even feel a thing!!!
So here's next weeks schedule.....Monday work, Tuesday MRI...arrive at hospital around 8:40am for IV, then MRI at 9:40am....going to then go straight to radiation on the way home since I will not be able to drive for 12 hours or so!!! Then for Weds, had to change radiation time since it conflicted with Onc visit so....on Weds. radiation will be at 8:00am....to work for a little while and will need to leave between 10:30 and 11:00 to make noon visit with onc! Not sure what I'll do after...Bernie will need to go to work so depending on what I hear from the Onc....I might also go back to work, since I will not be there all day Tuesday I'm sure I'll have a lot to do!!!!
So for now it's wait and see....I'll update next weekend1 Have a good week all!!!!
