Update: Weds. August 8th

Surgeon visit and message from Onc office:

Message from Onc office, HER2 retest came back negative, thus I am Triple Negative! Not sure if good or bad! Negative means cells were less aggressive, but no real treatment from prevention of triple negative! Also, message said all other tests results were good...so I'm going to take that as PET scan showed no signs of cancer anywhere else and my heart is fine! Instead of call on Friday they have set an appointment to go into the office and discuss the actual Chemo treatment! August 23rd is the date!!!

Surgeon Visit...stitches are out!!! Thank God! It feels so much better! Steri strips for a few days but anything is better then those wire stitches! Path report from surgery on 27th...2 lymph nodes removed both NEGATIVE!!! Additional cancer removed was only 0.4cm showing clear margins ! So although I'm not a doctor, from what I've learned I am Stage 2!!! Asked the surgeon now that I'm 3 neg and no real prevention treatment available what was his opinion on a complete mastectomy as prevention?....he pointed to the cigs in my pocket book and said, "they are going to kill you before breast cancer!" So I guess that meant no!!!

All in all, I guess good news...only 20 weeks of Chemo instead of a year...and total cancer size under 5 cm! Looks like August is truely bringing good news....July 2007...the month from Hxxx!!! Thank God it's over!
