Monday, October 5th

I have officially completed cycle #1 of my treatment...Friday was my off day (day28) of my 28 day cycle. I'll begin cycle# 2 this Friday. I see the onc Friday morning before infusion so it's an early start again, 7:15 for blood and IV; doctor at 8:00; infusion at 9:00. Since this is day 1 of cycle#2, I have both drugs so we won't get of there until after noon! So here is how the month should go, Day#1 as mentioned above is October 9th, day#8 is October 16th only one drug, day#15 is October 23rd both drugs, then off the next week which will be the week of October 26th -30th. During that week I'll have my scans and find out if this is working...if it is I'll continue another cycle or two...if not I'll have to figure out next steps! For now, taking one day at a time!

This is beginning to take it's toll....I'm always tied and not getting a very comfortable sleep lately...I think this Avastin (which I get every other week) is keeping my mind from stopping so constantly "thinking"....my body is exhausted by mind just keeps going! And for all of you who know me....if I don't get my sleep I'm a bear!

We had a great weekend, Bernie and both the kids did the Harpoon feast, Caitlin was home for the entire weekend, but Sean only on Saturday. Actually only saw him for a few minutes...he dropped his laundry off on his way to Boston on Saturday and then came by to pick it up on his way back Saturday night! Then yesterday we had a nice day at mom's. It was nice to see everybody! Leah did great in the walk...she raised over $4k!

Thank you to everyone for the helping me through this, from walking in the breast cancer walk to raise funds, to donating, to the cards, emails and words of encouragement.....I really appreciate it! It's because of every one's support that I can continue to fight this!

So hopefully this will be a good week....I feel ok, just need to get some more sleep this week....gotta go take a shower and get to work! Have a good day!
