Happy New Year!

Let's hope 2009 is better then 2008 and 2007!!!! Summary since last post....I actually saw the surgeon on Weds the 17th....at that point she said I did not have to keep packing the wound! I did get another 7 days of antibiotics just to make sure! well wound is healing good....I do have a little swelling above the incision site but very small! so all in all the surgery site is good! But...started with a cold/congestion on Christmas eve and still have it!!! So I think I have the flu...so much for the flu shot working!!!! A lot of body aches especially in my good arm!!! But nothing I can't work through!!! We had a nice Christmas and a very quite New Years Eve. Both Caitlin and Sean are home, thus house a lot more active then usual, but it's nice! Seems like we are back arguing over couch, TV and computer...but it's nice!!!! We have my niece Delia's wedding celebration tomorrow (married in July at city hall and now getting married officially in the church and having a party!!). It should be fun!!!!I've been on vacation from work since the 23rd so my schedule is all off. I haven't been getting out of bed until around noon....boy does it feel good!! Had intentions of getting up early today to get back in a routine but that didn't happen and I need to sleep tomorrow AM so I can be awake for the party tomorrow night....so I'll try to get up and moving early on Sunday since it' back to work on Monday!!!!



Also Monday is start the Chantix day!!!!! So goal is to quit smoking on the 12th!!!! Also should be start of radiation!!! I go to the radiologist on Thursday the 8th for my mapping and then back into Boston on Friday Am for oncologist visit. Visit with Oncologist was scheduled back in early October with thought that radiation would be over....but here we are with radiation just beginning!!! But that's ok....going to plan to have life back to normal across all fronts for February! Radiation will be over (28 treatments needed) and Mom & Dad's house should be ready!!!! Although I haven't talked to mom about it, I'd like to celebrate Caitlin's 21st Bday at their house!!!! Yes...Caitlin turns 21 on February 25th....I've asked her to come home the weekend before (since I know she will not want to come home the weekend after she is officially 21!!)....so I think I'll plan her party for Saturday night February 21st!!!!



Back to the quiting smoking....going to try to change my routines this Monday the 5th to get ready.....actually some things work out good...we moved at work so the normal have a smoke and get a cup of coffee has all changed since they are now in the opposite direction and I think I'll try to start exercising again....not sure I can with the pain I have in my good arm and the not suppose to be using the bad arm much (to prevent Lymphdema(sp?)....But I'm going try!!! Bernie is actually going to quit also!! So...suggestion all....stay way form both of us for a good month or so....since it probably wouldn't be a fun time!!!!!!!!! Actually once we are through all these help aid....pills, patches etc....we will have over $500 extra per month...that in itself is reason to quit with these tuition's we are paying!!!!!!
