Hello Everyone!
Things still moving slowly on the medical side. Still having some issues with fluid in the armpit area. Went last week (Tuesday) to have it drained and site was red...so guess what...they would not let me leave! Instead, I spent the night in the hospital...first overnight in the hospital since Sean was born!!! I'm OK now....on Tuesday they actually drained the site via an ultrasound so they could see and remove all the pockets of fluid....then I was hitched up to IV antibiotics! It wasn't too bad....they released me around 11:30 the next morning! I'm now on antibiotics 4 times a day ! Fluid is back a little but no more red so that's good! I'll probably end up back in Boston on Tuesday to have this drained again...hopefully they do not keep me this time! So as I mentioned in previous post....no radiation until one week after final drain....so let's hope this week is it and I can begin radiation end of next week or early the next!
On the home front...kids during OK...Caitlin came home for the day last Sunday (laundry!)and Sean took the train home yesterday(haircut!). Sean has been sick but initial test for mono came back negative....they are going to retest end of this week to be sure. He seems OK but guess what ...he is still sleeping! I guess we will wait and see....It was Thanksgiving of Caitlin's freshman year away she ended up with mono! Must be a freshman thing!
Bye for now!

Hi Noreen,
I was reading your blog and hopefully Antibiotics help to get rit of this fluid.! Indeed suddenly to stay in hospital is a bit scary. People are not used to it ! During my visit on the blog i saw also the nice picture of your kids. They look great !!!
I am this week at home (holiday) so we call next week . Take care and i cross my (Belgian) fingers for a positive progress !
gr,
Patrick
