Saturday, October 11th

Red Sox won game 1!!!!! Hooray!!! I fell asleep in the 8th inning...nice to wake up and see they held on to the end!!! Ok...so almost 2 weeks from surgery....I'm feeling good but still have drain!! It's driving me crazy! But on a good note...appointment Tuesday@ 9:00AM and it is coming out!!! Rules are drain removed when draining under 30 ML in a 24 hour period...I've been constantly draining 50 to 60 but they said I could scheduled the removal. They actually gave me the option of having it out on Friday...but chances were I would need to return and have the fluid drain...so I opt to keep it for the weekend! Holiday on Monday so no appointments available!

I have now scheduled and appointment with Radiologist on Weds Oct 22nd to discuss radiation treatments...considering the drain will only be out 1 week when I visit, I might have to hold off starting radiation until the area heels, but will see! The actual surgery site is healing great...so I guess the drain does work....that's it's purpose to help heal quick and prevent infection!!!



On the home front....long weekend in some places....Caitlin is home again because she has no classes on Monday; Sean on the other hand does have classes on Monday so not coming home this weekend. Last weekend both of them ended up home which was nice. Sean's friend had Red Soc tickets for last Sunday nights game (yes the one that went until 2:00am). He took the train home on Saturday night with intentions of Bernie driving him back Sunday night after the game, but instead he stayed home Sunday night also and Bernie drove him back early Monday morning to make his 9:00am class!



Caitlin arrived home around 5:30 last night and she and I along with Mom and Dad went up to the Topsfield Fair. Bobby and crew along with Delia and Mike and Baby where they! We had a good time, ended up getting cold but it was a nice night! Bernie working all weekend so we probably won't see him much...he' actual working 5:00Pm to 5:00am each night....so guess what he is sound asleep right now!!!





Mom and Dad seem to be settling in to Bobby's pretty well! Dad actually spent his first hour or so alone yesterday and it seemed to work out ok! The 2 dogs are there to keep him in line.....when I got there he was watching Bonanza!!!! Sounds like from the insurance side things are moving along as aspected.....I guess they believe fire started from the Mr Coffee...it was not on just plugged in!!! Suggestion to not leave your coffee pot plugged in!!!! We are going to started ASAP to get mom looking at what she want in her new kitchen. I think it's best to get her thinking forward now instead of waiting...that way once all financial stuff is settled it move forward. I think we have all resolved ourselves that there will be no Thanksgiving at mom's but goal is to have Christmas Eve as normal!!!!!



That's it for now....I've gt a lot to do this weekend...top priority...my TAXES...yes I filed an extension back in April....and guess what deadline is October 15th and I have done nothing so far!!!!
