I'm Back!!! And it's almost over!!!

Sorry for not posting for so long....been a long month and half or so! As for the treatments...same old thing each week...and with the holidays and work so crazy, I just never seemed to be in right frame of mind to post! Well holidays are over...they we good....we enjoyed seeing everyone and had some nice family time! Work still very hectic but certainly helps keeps me going, just wish the stress level was little lower!!!
OK....yesterday I had treatment #11 of #12....next Friday it's all over!!!!!!! My liver hasn't been doing to well over the past month or so but they decreased the dose last week and results were better, so they gave me the same dose yesterday and next week I'll get a larger dose to make up for what I missed.....but who cares it's the LAST!!!!! We are going to have a party at the infusion center next week....I'm bringing everything for everyone to have ice cream sundaes! Story behind that....Bernie has been bringing me an ice cream each week and it has become a joke....they call him the "Good Humor" Ice Cream man! So we thought that was the appropriate way celebrate and say thank you to all of the nurses and staff....they have been wonderful!!

So once this is complete.....radiation will begin....looks like now starting the Week of February 25th....each day for 5 weeks...going to be tiring, but should only be a 5 min treatment each day so I'm sure I'll live through it!!! So I basically have the entire month of February off no treatments!! I will have to have appointments with Radiologist to get "tattoos" and body images for the radiation along with going in to have this Central port removed....but neither should be anything to draining!

I've summed up the past few months of my life like the MasterCard Commercial...so here it is!

16 Chemo Treatments in 24 weeks.....Exhaustion!

Gaining 15 pounds without enjoying the "sinful" food (ice cream excluded!)....Unfair!

Well I won't be able to get drunk for a few weeks considering how my liver has been but they said within a few weeks....as for coloring my hair...I can add a rinse 2 weeks after final treatment but will have to wait about 2 months before I can do anything permanent....so since just a rinse....I think I'll test out a few different colors...how about RED?????

Hair is actually growing very slowly or slowly for me...I can still see my scalp and the hair that is growing is about 1/2 inch or so right now.....eyebrows and eyelashes have yet to start to grow but I'm sure they will sooner or later....they were the last to go so they'll probably be the last to return!!!!

I think that kinda sums up the past 2 months or so......everyone plan to celebrate in some fashion next Friday like we will....and let me know! Everyone should have at least one drink for me!!

Oh ya...I'm a great aunt again...Zachery Joseph was born Dec 31st weighed 8lbs! He's C.J.'s brother and he is a adorable....reminds me of Sean when he was a baby! #3 due any day....this one will be a great niece! Imagine...I'm 42 and going to have 3 great nieces & nephews....but that's OK as long as I'm not a grandmother.....I'll enjoy tormenting by brothers since they'll both be grandfathers now!!!!
