Sorry for not posting for so long!!! We had a nice weekend away, great weather and I relaxed a lot!!!! Red Sox had a good weekend too!! We are again 7 games ahead of the Yankees!!!
Now for medical update...Monday afternoon my central port felt "weird"...more uncomfortable then anything. Yesterday it actually hurt and the area was red and swollen and hot to the touch. I called the doctor and they wanted to see me, but since I was going to the hospital this morning for my blood draw I scheduled the visit for then. Well port is infected!!! I am now on antibiotics with hopes it clears the infection otherwise they will need to remove it and try another area!!! I was hoping 24 hours on antibiotics and they would still do treatment scheduled for tomorrow, but Onc office called around 2:00PM and said they could not do the treatment. They need infection to clear completely! So I am now scheduled for Monday AM. This is going to totally mess up my scheduled!!! I'll probably be out of work most of next week at our busiest time!!!!! Budget 2008!!!! But I'll have to work through it! At least Bernie is happy...he said good, you'll fell OK this weekend!!!!
It's true what they say...the minute you feel good again, they shot you back up again!!! If this Port didn't hurt, I would be 100%! So work tomorrow and Friday and I guess I will then enjoy the weekend!! Head Shaving Day definitely Saturday afternoon....postponing this treatment might take me a few extra days before complete fallout but it is already started....4 or 5 at a time if I run my hands through my hair!!!!
On the family side....today was first day of school for both Caitlin and Sean. Sean's last first day of high school!!! Boy I'm getting old!!! He said it was OK...upstairs playing is PSP! Kinda emotional for me this morning not only was it is last first day but he actually drove himself!!!Caitlin actually didn't have to go to class today, only had to do her "on-line" classes!! We'll see how this works out...tomorrow is is first day of real classes in a real classroom! It amazes me they now offer on-line college classes and I still need to pay full price just as if she was sitting in a room!!! Caitlin is now out "School Shopping"...says she needed some new clothes! I thought once they went to college the annual new clothes thing went away? I guess not!!! Well anyways hopefully they both have a good year...it's going to be tough on them also with all this going on with me...but together we will get through it!
I'll keep you all updated and will even post a "bald" picture on Saturday after Head Shaving Party!!!
