First...medical update...had appointment yesterday with doctor who put my central port in! Port looks good, incisions from actual procedure are healing great...still have the "tape blisters" from the allergic reaction I had so area looks like I've been cut all over! But good news...blisters will heal eventually. So I got a clean bill of health....port should be fine for 20 weeks! Once everything heals, I just have an area that looks like a "bump"! NO swimming this weekend since the blisters are still open sores in some areas, so let's hope it's not hot!
Yesterday was a good day, went back to coffee in AM no juice and I was good! Still need to figure the food thing....had a hard time digesting lunch! Onc team suggestions 5-6 small meals daily versus 3 large. I think that's what I need to do...I'll get there at some point!
All and all....week one after treatment has been good....busy at work, but that's how I like it!!!
Only working 1/2 day today, heading up to New Hampshire for the long weekend! So far weather looks good! Looking forward to a relaxing weekend!
So here's my schedule for next week...holiday on Monday, work on Tuesday, blood work on Weds 7:00am then to work, then off Thursday and Friday...treatment#2 on Thursday @ 9:00AM.....then head shaving day on Saturday, September 8th!!!!
Although.....I can't change my schedule for end of next week, IF we win the $330MILLION lottery tonight....I don't' think I'll be in work on Tuesday!!!!!! Figured it out yesterday, we took Cash payout option, 48 people in the pool.....after taxes(50%)....everyone gets a little over $2MILLION...I think that's enough to retire early!!!!!!
Need to get moving and ready for work...oh ya...I didn't mention the Red Sox...that's because we lost again to the Yankees!!! 3 loses in row!!! That's OK, we are still ahead of them in the standings by 5 games....let's hope that is enough to get us through the next month and on to the playoffs!!!
Patrick....only if Red Sox win the World Series....I will meet you at the end of the New York Marathon....hand you a Red Sox World Series FLAG and we'll play "Sweet Caroline" and dance before you cross the finish line!!!!!!!....I will not be able to guarantee your safety though...those NY Yankee fans can be mean!!!
