Wow!!! Although I was told late yesterday I would have no results of July 27th surgery until Monday....surgeon just called!!! Good News....no cancer in the Lymph Nodes and he got a CLEAN Margin!!!! There was more cancer in the tissue he removed, but getting a clean margin means all the cancer has been removed from my breast!!! I really like this surgeon....nice, nice man and calling on a Saturday so I do not go crazy all weekend was wonderful!!! So, we can now move forward with no more surgery!!!!!!! I see the surgeon once more on Weds, August 8th to have stitches removed and then hopefully will not need to see him again!!!!! Just hearing this news makes the uncomfortableness of all these stitches worth it! Looks like I can continue forward with MY plan of first Chemo treatment of Thursday, August 23rd!!! Keep your fingers crossed....if I can start on this date....my good weekend will be Labor Day weekend and the kids can see how this will effect me before school starts again! Need to move forward with PET scan on Monday and then schedule to have central port put in...and then I think I'll be all set! Surpose to talk with Oncolgist office on Friday, August 10th to outline dates, etc! I'll keep you all updated via this blog!
FYI...I am feeling wonderful...a little tired, but as most of you know that is just me...if I don't get my 12 hours a night sleep!!!!
