Jake met a Skunk this morning!!!!

Had to update everyone on this one....so much for a quiet morning before I had into Boston for my CT scan! Alarm went off this morning and I was up and moving...went to bed early for a Sunday night...up and moving by 4:45, went about normal activities including letting Jake out...and guess what he met a skunk face to face!!! What a smell! At first the smell is strange, I wasn't sure it really happened...then I knew! Woke Bernie up and needless to say he wasn't a happy camper. Thank god for 24 hours stores...he went straight to Walgreen's. I found a quick website that said mouth wash works better then tomato juice. Well he called from Walgreen's and I searched more and found hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dawn. So we've done them both! Seems to have worked for now! Jake is now confined to the kitchen and not very happy but that will be his new home for a few more hours. We'll need to get him professionally de-skunked later today. I'll need to leave that one to Bernie before he goes to work since I need to be on the road around 8:30 or so to get in Boston by 10AM. I needed things to keep me busy so not to think about whats going on and I guess I will! Have a good day all!
