YES!! RED SOX WIN GAME 1!!

Front Page of this mornings Boston Globe! Yes...the Red Sox won Game 1 by a score of 10-3 and I was there! It was a great night! Cold but a great game and Caitlin and I had a great time! Considering how cold it was and that everyone had on hats....I just "blended in"!!! During the 6 inning, I was surprised by two Red Sox employees coming buy with a bag full of Red Sox stuff! And yes it was personally for me! Inside was a hand written note from the Fenway Ambassadors welcoming me to the game, hoping I enjoyed myself, etc etc. Bag had the 2007 Red Sox Year Book plus all kids of small Red Sox stuff including pictures of the players, rubber bracelets, foam baseballs, etc! I guess my nephew, John Paul, (thanks John!!) knows a girl who works in public relations for the Red Sox, so it was his doing!!! I wore my new pink knit hat under my normal pink Red Sox baseball hat to keep warm...at the beginning before we ever went into the game....my head was really hot and they had one of the Red Sox head wraps made of cotton so I bought it! That worked good at the beginning then the cold set in and it was replaced with the knit one again! So all in all I did stay warm...between the hats, blankets, gloves, etc, etc!

Now for the medical side, I feel OK! I think staying home and not pushing myself on Thursday & Friday was good! I don't like to just rest if I feel good, but I have to learn how to I guess... at least for the next couple of weeks to get through this first round! Yes...its' almost over....last treatment of this current cocktail is on Thursday the 18th! So almost there! Everyone keeps telling me, the next round of Chemo will be much easier, so let's keep our fingers crossed they are correct! I guess "easier" is all relative considering the situation. Which ever way you look at it...they are pumping poison into my body...the only difference is what kind and how much!

Now for the bad news....main reason for me truly working from home was to say away from "germs"...now I was good last night....wore a bandanna over my mouth & nose most the time...but guess what...Caitlin has "strep throat"!! So trying to stay away from germs and they've been living with me!!!! She said she was starting with a sore throat on Thurs, then Sean woke up Friday saying same thing so the doctor saw them both yesterday...."quick test" came back negative for both, but he just called....Caitlin's full test came back positive, Sean's was negative! He is going to treat them both with antibiotics considering my situation....so I guess no matter what I do, I just can't stay away from "germs" ! On the good side, he gave them both the Flu Shot yesterday.....so hopefully it works!

So...today is rest day; tomorrow is the Breast Cancer Walk in Boston in the morning, Mom's house for an open house in the afternoon; and Monday back to work!!!!

Also, Joey's hockey team, Quebec Remparts won last night...first game Joey was back and they won 7-2!!!

Have a good weekend!
