1st C-Day Complete!

All done! Pretty uneventful! Chemo administration was only about an hour or. The A portion is red and was shot directly into the tube hanging from the port....two large tubes full...only took about 5 minutes. Then the C was via an IV bag and took about an hour. I finished at 1:30pm, so back tomorrow a 1:30 for shot to build my white blood cells. So, I started at 9:00am..had all the preliminary tests, etc, saw the oncologist which took about an hour and half....at which time they let me go smoke....you were all correct....no smoking while I'm all hitched up!!!! First hour and half before Chemo administered was the pre-meds....I had the nausea med, some sort of steroid, an adivan and I think 2 bags of normal saline....all to prepare! Any ways, the people were nice, they serve you lunch, will get you anything you want to drink or snacks, they fill your water bottle, etc, etc. So I'm feeling fine...my legs fell a weird but that's about it for now. I did have some strange pain in the top of my head while the C was being dripped in and it comes back here and there, but nothing that I need to take anything for! So all in all 1 st treatment is good so far....we'll have to wait and see how the next 48 hours go...but I think this is a good sign!!!! Don you better watch out....if I feel this good throughout I might just start coming back to work right after each treatment!!!!

Noreen,
Now you have the first treatment out of the way. Try to get some rest. I know that is hard for you. Don is acting up as usual. Don't worry we'll take care of him and things at the office.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Paul
